The Swiss Federal Law on Data Protection (Datenschutzgesetz, DSG) regulates the handling of data of natural persons. cnlab ITR AG, cnlab security AG and cnlab software AG (cnlab) comply with these provisions.

Scope of Application
This data protection declaration applies to all publicly accessible websites which cnlab operates under the domain "cnlab.ch", as well as to the website "wasservoegel.ch" and "datenschutzkurs.ch".
Automatically Stored Information
When you access our websites, the following data is stored in log files on our servers:
- IP address
- Date and time of the browser request
- Details of the request (protocol version, http methods and headers) and destination address
- Transferred information on the operating system and browser
This data is used exclusively for analyses in the event of errors and security incidents. No personal analysis is carried out. Log data is automatically deleted after one year. In the event of an incident, relevant log data can be backed up separately. These copies are deleted after processing of the incident has been completed.
Other Data Collected
On our website there is the possibility to register for our newsletter. In this context, we store the specified preferred subject areas and your e-mail address. The data is used exclusively for the delivery of the newsletter. The data will be deleted as soon as you unsubscribe from the newsletter.
You can register for courses on the website "datenschutzkurs.ch". The information required for this (name, address, employer, telephone, e-mail address) is used for the administration and implementation of the courses. The data is stored for at least 6 months.
The use of various evaluation portals under the domain "cnlab.ch" is only possible with a login. When you register, we store your e-mail address, first name and family name. The data is used for authentication, authorisation and access analysis in the evaluation portals.
Use of Cookies
We use cookies on our website to make visiting our website more attractive and to enable the use of certain functions. Cookies are small text files that are stored in your browser. Most of the cookies we use are deleted again at the end of the browser session (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain in your browser and enable us to recognise you on your next visit.
Web Analytics
On our website we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Google). Google Analytics uses cookies that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated about your use of the website may be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Data is only transmitted to Google in anonymised form.
Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. Google may pass this data on to third parties if there are legal obligations to do so or if third parties process the data on Google's behalf.
Google Analytics will only be activated after your consent to the use of analytical cookies. If you reject the use of analytical cookies, no data will be sent to Google. By accepting analytical cookies, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.
Deactivation of Cookies and Web Analytics
You can prevent cookies from being stored in your browser in the browser settings. This also applies to the functions described in the section "Web Analytics". Please note that you will not be able to use certain functions of our website without cookies.
Google Analytics can be blocked by browser extensions. Google provides a corresponding extension for all common browsers.
