Information Collection and Use
The cnlab UX test applications (performance test) are designed to identify reasons for performance losses and to provide objective information about the quality of Internet Service Provider (ISP) offerings. Each tester is randomly assigned a UserID so that performance testers can later view all their results.
cnlab provides the cnlab UX tests applications free of charge. The applications are financed by ISPs and other organizations that operate cnlab UX Test reference systems and use the cnlab UX Test evaluations as customers (see cnlab performance reference customers, https://www.cnlab.ch/en/referenzen/performance).
In order to be able to reliably check the performance of the ISPs' offers and to exclude unwanted influences on the measurement, cnlab records the location and IP addresses of the testers as well as the technical data of the devices used (computers, smartphones), the connection devices (routers) and - for cnlab licensees - also the connection lines.
With the error messages (feedback and trouble tickets), users provide cnlab and their ISP with a link to the measurement results as well as personal data (last name, first name, address, e-mail address and phone number) so that cnlab and/or the ISP can contact them for further clarification. Only authorized cnlab employees and your ISP's helpdesk staff have access to this data. Trouble tickets are kept for at least 6 months.
cnlab does not share any personal data from the UX test with other organizations.
